Article: Systemisers are better at maths

Abstract

People with superior mathematical abilities turn out to have Autism Spectrum Disorder more often than others do. This paper presents a theory which outlines the connection between the ability of the brain to detect patterns and perceive rules and mathematical achievement, and how this applies to ASD.
